Malaysia Singapore Goodwill Match 2009
Dear Kenshi,
Below is an attachment of Mr Yap's email. Do take note of it. As for those from other dojos, I suggest waiting until one of the admins from JCKL confirm with Mr Yap if it's alright to attend as well. Although if you'd heard anything of it mentioned from your dojo leaders, then do discuss it with them. Thank you.
"Dear Kenshi,
Greetings.
We are happy to announce that we will be having the Malaysia-Singapore
Goodwill Match 2009 on Sunday, November 01 in The Japanese School.
T-date Singapore Kendo Club has 50 participants coming for the match.
We should at least match that number. Please inform the Secretary of
your intention to participate. There will be the following
categories:-
Children team,
Ladies team and
Men's team.
Best regards,
Yap Teck Loy
Secretary,
MKA."

Just wondering, what is the minimum grade to participate IF AND ONLY IF kendoka from other dojo are allowed to participate?
Normally goodwill matches does not impose grades. At least not according to my memory. As long as you're in full bogu, you may enter.

Thank you. Will be waiting for confirmation whether people from other dojos can enter. I really want to......
Mr. Yap also sent another email saying that the Singapore Kendo Club Team is coming in with 50 kendokas. Wow! That is a big group of people. I wonder we Malaysia have enough members to join the match.
Any one of us here joining the match?

JKoori is =P That means other dojos can bring their people too, yes? Bring them all!!! Juniors and seniors alike. Mr Yap made the announcement during yesterday's training. He said that it will be divided to 3 catergories (Men, Women, Children) and each category is divided to 3 other divisions. I suppose that they are divided according to grades. We need more females! hahahahaha
Listen up folks! I have good confirmed news. (It's also the reason why I shifted this topic from 'Dojo' to here)
All KENDOKAS IN ARMOUR are EXPECTED to join this Goodwill match.
So eveyone, please participate. This is a great opportunity to gain some experience. JCKL members are to sign up with Mr Yap. Candidates other than JCKL members, please please please check with your dojo leaders for further details. They should have gotten an email from Mr Yap.
Since Singapore are bringing 50 members, we need to AT LEAST be at par. Thank you for your cooperation.

Thanks, Billy for having the faith and trust in me. I am looking forward and wanted to join but I am hand-tied with full of commitment on that day.
Trust other members in MK.Net can take this opportunity to experience kendo matches. Good luck to whoever who have registered especially jo Jkoori and Tataxi.
