The following will serve as a guideline as to how members of MK.net will be
expected to behave whilst participating in discussions on this forum.
- English is the preferred language on MK.net (due to obvious reasons). However, it is understandable that most (but not all) of us are very used to ‘Malaysian English’ and may not realise it until much later after your replies have been posted. As long as the message is conveyed properly, it should be acceptable.
* The use of abbreviations a la SMS language is frowned upon. We may ‘refuse’ to understand chat/text messaging language.
- Profanity should be kept to minimum for the sake of the delicate ears (or eyes) of those who may be lurking within the shadows. Should you wish to swear out loud, kindly do so without using the keyboard.
- Spamming is not welcomed in general. However, depending on the nature of the topic discussed, this may be overlooked. Double posting is discouraged. Do make use of the edit button.
- ‘Topic hijacking’ portrays disrespect to the initial poster. If you have questions or opinions that do not relate in anyway to the initial post, starting a topic of your own is appreciated.
- Respect others as you would respect yourself and practice good etiquette.
