Some thoughts on my Kendo
It has been a really long time since this category was last used. So I try to fill it up with my two pence of kendo...

I went for my grading a few weeks ago and I got the result that I hoped for. I was ecstatic; I felt as if all I wanted to do then was just Kendo. Mr. Yap came to me, congratulated me, and said, "You better start training harder, because next grading might not be so easy!"

So it was then that I decided to *finally* go for senior sessions.

At first I thought of going for first session bogu, then kata session, then senior session,...

So what was the fun thing here? Lol. Our little inside joke about
Jessica’s kiai (XD) that sounded very much like ‘Soup’. Then we all
went through the various brands that we could use as kiai. That
would’ve been hilarious if we actually did… Imagine yourself going…
“Caaaaaaaaaaaampbells!” or “Heeeeeeeeinz!!” That’s where it all started.

Warning: A very long entry and most likely bore you to death with my thoughts and the advices I got. Then again, it functions more like my own 'Kendo notebook" =P You've been warned... I was bored so I typed it out at about 1am and finished by 3am without realising... X.x

Why I picked up Kendo
Why did you pick up Kendo instead of something else? Asked my uncle. "Why the sword, of all arts?"

It was just yesterday. He came over to have dinner at my place. Like me, he's a martial arts enthusiast. He goes to the local gym for boxing lessons and used to learn Muay Thai, the brutal art that was developed during Siam's tumultuous history.

That question really did stop to make me think. Why did I pick up Kendo in the first place?

The answer goes back to when I was thirteen, still in Form One. I was looking for a uniform body that didn't involve marching...

The day of Hitting 100 members..
This forum is become 100 member's, I doesn't thought it will happen before.

At 8-8-2008 I had started this forum, I remember on that time after half year still not much member here, only some peopel asking about the Dojo location and information after that all didn't came back.
