So, to all sempai in hereWhat is the beginner exam? Sensei did tell me that 30 or 50 haya suburi is included... which I can't even get 10...
Getting back on topic ^^||...
I am sure you can get 10 ^__^ 11 the next day, 12 on the following one =P
Though, I'd repeat what people have told me: remember the other little things like how you stand, how you draw your shinai (I remember that my whole batch got a nice lecture for not going into 'taito' before drawing ^^'), how you bow, etc etc and so on and so forth. Last but not least! KIAI!!! As loud as you can as if you trying to make everyone go deaf. XD
It'll be great if you get to come over for grading ^____^ Then, we will be able to meet!

Re: Kendo Grading
Hmm.... it might no longer be possible to jump that far anymore though. I am not sure if it is already being implemented in MKA's grading system but at one point, the senseis told us that Japan has begun to incorporate the "Bokuto Ni Yoru Kihon Kendo Waza Keiko Ho" in their syllabus.
If I remembered correctly, for those who wish to grade for 3rd kyu are required to know the first 3. Unfortunately I don't recall up to which ones that 2kyu and 1kyu have to know... the senseis didn't mention anything about the dan holders too.

Billy, I think Mr Yap was referring to someone else. That particular person was my sempai and doesn't do kendo anymore.

Maybe you can straight to the 1 kyu this time!!
Lol. Dunno true or not, but Mr. Yap once told me that there was this young man who went from 7th Kyu straight to 1st Kyu..... Then he told me if I could do that, he would buy me lunch. Which I didn't, of course
