In Kendo, are you guys allowed to wear black hakama (but with navy blue keikogi) instead of navy blue?

I have washed it once at room temperature but did not observe the shrinking effect as widely written in internet (i.e keikogi shrinks over washes).

I kinda expected my gi to shrink in the wash, so like you, i ordered a size larger, and to my disappointment it didn't shrink. After almost two years still the gi hasn't shrunk much.

I read the Hiroshi Ozawa book and it says you can shorten the sleeves from the shoulders and height from the waist. Pull up the sleeves of the gi at the shoulders and sew it there. Hope this was helpful

My Gi doesn't shrink,.....but the color is start to coming off.......
wan to dye back to indigo in some batik shop
