I am practicing Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu, bokuto used for Ken Kata and Iaito for Iai Kata. No free sparring at all but for training safety, stylised bokuto used specifically for Katori schools and the tip is 'blunted'. Kendo's bokuto is the standard type with sort of sharp pointing tip right?

We only use bokuto for kata and yes, the tip of the bokuto is sharp-ish. Haha.

Hi Izzaz. Surely. Maybe you'll like to have a look at it first? When would you be going for training?

Quality wise...nothing superb, just for ordinary usage. Dark brown except the hilt. Hilt condition is sand papered. Therefore the original wood colour for the hilt. I'll try to post up a picture of it later.

Anyone interested, let me know.
