Bokuto to give away

Hi everyone.

Recently I just got a new bokuto. And I already have 2 with me. So planning to give away one. (If you opt to buy, I wouldn't stop you either. ;) Hahaha)

Quality wise...nothing superb, just for ordinary usage. Dark brown except the hilt. Hilt condition is sand papered. Therefore the original wood colour for the hilt. I'll try to post up a picture of it later.

my japanese colleague was suggesting throwing the shinai as ways to get an ippon i.e. tsuki target? technically he says it is legal if we met yukodatutso criteria(s)...i find it a bit hilarious....on the hind sight, i cant find any depiction that construed otherwise his theory.....

Cutting Technique - left hand cut

My sensei emphasizes doing your cuts with the left hand. (you hold the end nearer your body with your left hand)

That means you use your left hand most of the time. You almost feel as if your right hand hasn't done anything.

"Left-hand cut, right-hand control."

Is that what you learn as well? I wonder if it's a standard technique...

How to make a simple shinai bag on your own.

I've noticed that there are some variations in gi and hakama worn by kendoka, iaidoka and aikidoist.

Aikido -- White Gi & Black Hakama (Hakama doesnt have the additional collar at back as in Kendo)
Kendo -- Blue Gi & Black Hakama
Iaido -- White/Black Gi & Black Hakama

Anyone knows if the variations make any differences / influence performance?
