hi mkikhwan!!!!
mkikhwan wrote:Hello everyone. I'm from Penang, and currently studying in KL. I heard about the Penang Kendo Club, but sadly AFTER I started staying in Petaling Jaya. Anyway, I am very interested in learning kendo, so I'd like to visit a dojo and talk to the teachers there and get info, maybe watch practice sessions or give it a try if they allow me. So I can get a better feel of kendo and hopefully sign up immediately
However, the JCKL website is in japanese, and i can't read japanese at allAnd I'd like to know contact details of a kendo dojo or dojos in and around KL. Is the JCKL a kendo dojo? And is it possible for me to learn here in KL, then continue where I left off once I get back to Penang? Because I probably would go back to Penang after I finish up in KL.
And I do wonder if it's ok for someone like me, who's already in mid-20s to join . I'm not exactly rippling with muscles either, just about 5 ft. 10 in. tall with very slim buildAnyone can help me on my enquiries? Thanks

Welcome mkikhwan and glad to have you here!!
Actually JCKL got many Japanese Club included !! Of course Kendo Club also !!!
If you want to get more detial about JCKL Kendo Club you can try to contact Mr.Yap Sensei of Kendo Club (03-77287577), he will give you all the answer you needed.
Is not too late to start your Kendo now!! Our Sekiwa Sensei he start his Kendo when he is 50 year-old, now he is " 6 Dan rensi " .....so what do you say??!!

The grade of Kendo is register on "All Japan Kendo Federation", so no matter which Kendo Dojo you go, they just need to check the record. They will know what is your grade.!!!

Hope you can start your Kendo soon...
Can you feedback to me ,when you start your Kendo....Thank !!
If still have any question, you can come back to me any time!!!
