Nicuma, if you plan to practise in JCKL. You can always inform Mr Yap of your current situation before coming in. Then when you start practise, you can always work without your armour for the first few visits and gradually practise with more gear on later.
Annual summer camp ^__^ Can't wait for it to come... JKoori will be going, yes? XP

Re: The Japan Club Of Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia Kendo Club HQ)
hi,
i havent done kendo close to 2 years since i moved back to Malaysia and was thinking of coming back.
I dont mind starting back from the start since its been quite a while and my bogu has suffered massive damage from mold
from shipping back here
mainly the men and kote is all i need but probably wont require it anytime soon if i just go back training with juniors/beginners.
but besides online stores is there any local hookups for those ?
and also when are gradings?
cheers lads

Tataxi, don't worry. You're not the only JCKL member here. There's probably more. We're just hidden. Hehehe
To all who have enquiries, Mr Yap would be the best person to contact. He's a very nice secretary no worries. He doesn't bite. Hahaha

Not only 1, but most of tham (member's there) advise to contact Mr.Yap, also because of the other person in charge they are almost Japanese.

Of course, the Bogu you have to wait until you had up to the level, you only can buy it.

i have an interest in learning kendo.
before learning i want to ask a couple question to anybody
here....
for learn kendo how much ringgit i have to spend...
i mean for equitment and class payment.....
i need to know how much i have to spend for month
cause i have to bugget my cost living and everything else...
Hi reddo, welcome.
Reddo you stay at KL or Penang?
i currently stay at seremban
not too far from KL
Honestly Kendo is the most expensive budo. The Kendo gi and hakama (uniform) it cost RM100++, Bogu(armor) is around RM1400++. about the fee i also not sure how much it is. But you can take a call to mr.Yap, he will give you more detail of it.
